Our retreats are open to Muslim sisters and brothers of all backgrounds — including solo travelers, friends, colleagues, activity groups, mothers & daughters, and fathers & sons. Please view the retreat pages to find out who it is tailored for.

£200 non-refundable deposit secures your place. The remaining balance is due 4 months before the retreat, and the exact due date will be clearly displayed on the retreat page.

Yes. You can divide the total cost into three monthly payments, provided these finish at least 2 months before the retreat. We will acknowledge your payment by email and issue you a final receipt when all sums are received. Please note: late or missed payments may result in the loss of your place.

Yes, we’re delighted to be partnering with two well-established and experienced providers, both of whom are ATOL protected. Through these collaborations, both bespoke and group Umrah packages are available. As a bonus, dedicated seminars are also offered to help guests prepare for both group and bespoke Umrahs. Full details will be available on the Umrah page.

We offer affordable and competitive pricing and flexibility so full refunds (minus the deposit, as per the dates specified on our website) are available up to 8 weeks before the retreat. If the retreat is cancelled with one month left for departure, 50% refund will be issued minus any card processing fee. There is no refunds for cancellations within one month of departure as bookings for accommodation, transfers, and activities are confirmed in advance and cannot be changed or cancelled. Transferring Your Spot: places can be transferred to another person up to two weeks before the retreat start date, provided this is agreed with us in advance and the person fits the retreat criteria. If something comes up and you can’t join us, you’re welcome to arrange a replacement—but any payments made to date are non-refundable and the deposit for the spot booked for yourself is non-transferrable and the short fall has to be made up. Once the retreat has started, there is no refund for any part of the retreat, as all costs will have been paid.

We love welcoming back familiar faces and are also delighted when new members join us! If you’ve attended one of our retreats before and express early interest, we’ll do our best to secure your spot. However, due to limited spaces, bookings are ultimately confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority cannot be guaranteed.

We welcome anyone aged 18 to 85 with average to good fitness levels. Each retreat page will outline the required fitness level, as some itineraries include walking or light trekking. If you require assistance or support, we recommend attending with a friend or family member to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Group sizes typically range from 8 to 25 participants, depending on the retreat. Some are limited to 12. The exact number will be known closer to the retreat start date.

Rooms are usually shared by two people. Families may be accommodated in suitable apartments, villas, or two or three adjoining rooms. Full accommodation details are provided for each retreat.

Yes. Most retreats offer private room options for an additional cost.

Yes. We speak with every guest after booking to understand their needs and ensure the retreat is a good fit.

No, flights are not included, as participants travel from various locations around the world.

Airport transfers are not usually included, as guests arrive at different times and from different locations, making it logistically difficult to arrange group transport. However, we can arrange private airport transfers upon request — please let us know in advance.

Yes, we can assist with flight bookings. Please complete our online flight request form: https://musafir.uk/flights

Visa requirements vary based on your country of residence. We’re happy to guide you if you're unsure.

Yes — mahrams are welcome to accompany you for travel purposes, but for sisters only retreats they cannot participate in the retreat activities, any trips or in the accommodation to preserve a sisters-only environment. You can meet with your mahram at your own time outside of the retreat accommodation, trips or activities.

Yes. We offer ongoing support through follow-up workshops if requested and exclusive networks. Please note: services from staff and facilitators are limited to the retreat period unless otherwise agreed during your stay. If you need extra services please approach the organizers and not the staff directly as they are usually salaried staff employed by us or provided to us by a third party.

To ensure a relaxed and comfortable experience for all guests, we kindly ask that individual tipping be avoided during the retreat. Instead, an optional group tip may be contributed at the end of your stay. This will be thoughtfully and fairly distributed among all staff members—including those working behind the scenes—who help make your retreat special. For tours and activities provided by third-party operators, we have limited control over their tipping practices. Whenever possible, we will ensure that no tipping is expected. However, in cases where tipping may be customary or encouraged, we leave it entirely up to each guest to decide. If preferred, the group may contribute collectively and present a single tip to the tour operator.

Yes — spiritual nourishment is part of our retreats: it complements and enhances the overall experience. Our primary focus is on holistic well-being, rest, and exploring the beauty and culture of each destination in a way that rejuvenates both body and mind.

You can expect a balanced mix of activities — from relaxing spa treatments and wellness workshops to discovering the culture and beauty of the local area. Along the way, we offer gentle spiritual touchpoints such as group reflections, light talks, or the chance to pray at a local mosque unless the retreat has a focus such as improving Tajweed, in which case some time will be dedicated to this aspect. These moments help keep Allah at the center of the journey, without making the retreat feel overly academic or intense.

Our retreats offer a Muslim-friendly, spiritually mindful space. You can expect halal meals, alcohol-free accommodation, prayer-friendly schedules, and an atmosphere rooted in respect, warmth, and ease. Depending on the retreat program, there may be optional additions like Qur’an reflections, Islamic art workshops, or guest talks. All sisters and brothers are welcome — whether you're looking for a sisters-only space, a mixed group, or a family-friendly retreat — regardless of where you are in your personal journey.

Musafir Homes retreats are a space to reconnect, recharge, and rediscover — with purpose and peace.

Absolutely! We are always honoured to welcome revert sisters and brothers. Just be sure to select a retreat that matches your group (e.g. sisters-only, mixed, family-friendly).

Yes! We’re proud to host guests from around the world, and we welcome all UK and international travelers warmly.

Yes. We regularly arrange custom retreats and tours for both small and large groups. To enquire, email us at booking@musafir.uk with your group size and preferred location or call us directly.

Only where necessary — such as drivers or licensed guides. All providers are briefed in advance on the importance of professionalism and respect in a sisters-only environment. The accommodation for sisters only retreats provides a sisters only space.

We are delighted when people choose Musafir Homes and welcome almost everyone who wishes to attend.

However, as these are group retreats, we must also consider the wellbeing of all participants.

On rare occasions, we may decline a booking if, after our initial consultation, it becomes clear that someone may not benefit from the retreat, may be disruptive, or may not be a suitable fit for the group dynamic.

Please rest assured — this has never happened so far, and such decisions are made carefully and respectfully, only when absolutely necessary.

Unfortunately, changes to the main itinerary are not possible once it has been set. This is due to the logistics involved and our commitments to local providers. All guests receive a detailed schedule in advance, and many attend based on those planned activities. Altering the itinerary could disrupt the overall experience and impact others.

However, wherever possible, if a guest wishes to experience an additional activity during their free time, we’ll do our best to accommodate the request and inform them of any associated costs..

We always aim to provide a halal high-quality, nourishing, and balanced diet at our retreats, using either in-house staff or trusted third-party providers. While we do our best to offer a variety of options, we are unable to fully cater to specific dietary requirements as standard.

However, we can accommodate certain dietary needs at an additional cost, as our retreats are modestly priced and do not factor in the extra resources required for specialized diets. Alternatively, we’re happy to point you toward local options where suitable food may be available at your own cost.

We aim to have a Musafir Homes team member on the ground at every retreat, and this is made possible when we reach our target numbers to cover extra staffing costs.

Our trusted partners are part of the Musafir Homes team. They curate retreats with our full input and only run them on our behalf when we trust they’ll give the same attention and energy we would. This helps keep prices affordable, especially for costly long-haul destinations.

We only work with tried and tested operators and guides, with whom we plan every detail—sometimes taking several months to plan—to ensure the highest standards and smooth running of each retreat.

We’ve added a fitness level guide to each retreat to help you choose a trip that matches your ability and comfort. Our goal is to make sure you're able to enjoy the experience fully — there's nothing worse than joining a retreat and feeling left out due to physical demands. Please note: transport is provided between most locations. Walking or hiking is only included when places can't be accessed by vehicle.
Here’s a quick guide to the fitness levels:
• Average: Light walking, around 15–20 minutes at a time, with plenty of breaks.
• Moderate: Comfortable walking for 30–45 minutes, including light hikes and gentle inclines.
• Moderate/Fit: Able to hike for about an hour with short breaks, possibly with steeper paths.
• Very Fit: Can walk or hike for 2+ hours, including steep climbs and uneven terrain.
The above is used as just an indicator as some locations may include mixed terrain, however we are diligent in understanding what is involved. We encourage participants to use the retreat as motivation — many guests have improved their fitness in the months leading up to travel. With retreats announced well in advance, there’s plenty of time to set and reach your goals.

If you’re unsure which level suits you, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to advise.
